conversations about finding your place in planning + community development
finding the ‘you’ in your career can be hard.
who ends up in this work isn’t neutral. and what feels possible to you, or what doesn’t, is shaped not fixed.
i meet with students, people early in their careers, or anyone trying to understand how they might find their place in this work.
most of this work isn’t about having the right answer. it’s about understanding how you can move through and shape systems.
these small, informal conversations are often with people who are:
trying to understand planning / housing / public systems
thinking about moving into this field
or are already in it and trying to find their place within it
and this space is especially for people who:
haven’t traditionally seen themselves in planning (hi!)
don’t think they really know what planning is
are navigating systems they don’t feel like they belong to
are trying to find how they want to show up in this work
this work is complicated, and it’s not always clear how to find your way into it. that’s what these conversations are for.
if this feels like a space you’d like to share in, i’d be glad to make time to talk.
what i can promise:
honest conversations
(you and me)
grounded in real thoughts
(no judgements)
focused on questions
(not answers)
